Chess Set [Wooden With Inlaid Board] + Chess in 24 Hrs Book in LOGANHOLME, Queensland for sale

Complete set with wooden Staunton style pieces with felt under. King is 8cm and pawns are 3.9cm tall.
Board is inlaid and 40.5 x 40.5cms with felt under to protect your table and is flat (ie. does not fold).
The board has picked up a few small marks over the years (visible in photos) but still looks fine. The black king has a small split on the lower ring (photo 6) which isn't really noticable unless you're looking for it (I didn't).
There's a nice padded box with felt lining in which to keep the pieces safe and an old but still solid cardboard sleeve to protect the board.
Also comes with 'Alpha Teach Yourself Chess In 24 Hours" by Zsuzsa Polgar (International Master at 15, Women's World Champion and multi-Olympic gold medalist), with Hoainhan "Paul" Truong (USCF, FIDE and Master titles) and Leslie Alan Horvitz (author of over 25 books). This book starts out for absolute beginners but goes way beyond the basics and etiquette with step-by-step guides and examples of opening, middle and end games, essential tactics, game analysis and plenty of practice exercises. This very informative book is in VCG with all pages clean and tightly bound with just some minor marks on top and bottom of the closed pages.
