Fear Of A Punk Planet VHS [NOFX & Bouncing Souls + more] in LOGANHOLME, Queensland for sale
An attempt to depict the California punk scene produced and written by the Vandal's Joe Escalante who also stars as the jaded owner of the club. It's 3 episodes of Scooby Doo meets the Bold And The Beautiful style acting as four kids from different sides of the punk coin band together to save the town's only punk club which is under constant threat of closure from Tenacious D's Kyle Gass, the evil fire marshall who features regularly.
The saving grace is the scenes with the bands and the actual concert footage of each at the end which includes NOFX, Bouncing Souls, The Ataris, Sick Of It All, and Good Riddance. Of course I've become a bit jaded with age and have no qualifications as a film critic whatsoever, so what would I know? Those younger may actually enjoy the episodes.
This VHS was released in 2002 By Kung Fu Records/Films. Had no trouble playing it recently. The cardboard slip sleeve it comes in is showing some wear/rubbing on the corners and edges but is still solid as per photos. [Approx 19 x 10.5 x 2.7cms & 180g]
